Pastor Berry was born in Huntington, West Virginia. He became a Christian at the age of nine after
riding a bus to church and a dear elderly lady showed him God’s plan of salvation at the conclusion
of a Sunday school class. He surrendered his life to preach the gospel at the age of 15. He received
his Bachelors degree in Bible and Pastoral Theology from Southeastern Free Will Baptist College. In
August of 1988, he married Cindy (Stanley) Berry. God has blessed their home with three children.
After college, He served as a Youth Pastor for five years in Tulsa, Oklahoma watching the church
grow from an average attendance of 225 to 600. He is noted for his ability to communicate the
gospel with children and teens. He is most excited about the numbers of young people that have
continued into full time Christian service under his ministry.
After serving in Tulsa, he moved to Crewe, Virginia for two years to his first Pastorate. Following two
fruitful years in Virginia he returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma for six years to serve as Principal of
Cornerstone Christian Academy and Assistant Pastor of the church. His first Sunday at the First
Free Will Baptist Church of Melbourne was February 10, 2002. Pastor Berry is excited about the
many blessings God is bestowing here at First Church.
